Terms of Service

Commissioner Age

To protect the safety of minors, I will not accept a commission or provide a quote if you’re under 18. If I suspect you’re under 18, a simple ID proof will need to be provided. If you’re a minor and would like a suit, I am happy to discuss the commission with a parent/guardian and go through the process with them.

 

Buyer Expectations

Astris Fursuits will do our best to deliver a product that meets your expectations that have been discussed before construction has begun. Our fursuits are handcrafted with each product being unique. We cannot guarantee to exactly replicate previous suits of ours. We also will NOT copy the style of any specific maker.  

We will only begin working on an order once payment has been made in full. Completion dates can be anywhere between 1-4 months depending on circumstances but we will try our best to consistently update you on your commission. After a commission has left our hands, it is up to the shipping company to provide you with an estimated delivery date and any delivery delays will not be the result of Astris Fursuits.

Payment Plans

Astris Fursuits is very flexible with payment plans and we can discuss any plan that would suit you and your financial situation. A 30% Non-Refundable deposit is required to secure a place in our queue and once payment is made in full, progress will begin on your commission.

Payment plans can be made in 3 different ways. A 50/50 split of the total amount, 6 month plan after deposit and 12 month plan after deposit.

If you are unable to make a payment or your situation changes, please contact us at least a day before payment is due and we will respond to you ASAP. If you miss a payment without warning and do not respond after we have contacted you, we reserve the right to put the order on hold or cancel the order entirely. All payments except for the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

A buyer can cancel their order before production with all payments except the non-refundable deposit refunded to the buyer. Once a suit has begun production, Astris Fursuits will determine how much of the cost will be refunded to the buyer based on the commission's progress. If a buyer cancels after the commission is complete, no refund will be returned to the buyer.

Astris Fursuits reserves the right to reclaim and use materials from a cancelled commission for another commission. The new product will not resemble the cancelled commission. A buyer will never receive any unfinished product, pattern or other product from Astris Fursuits.

Astris Fursuits reserves the right to cancel a commission at any point for any reason. This is inclusive but not limited to a client becoming abusive, threatening, or harassing over communication throughout the commission process. A refund will be given based on commission progress. The 30% non-refundable deposit will not be refunded. Should a client become distasteful to work regarding commission outcomes and image, we reserve the right to cancel the commission and issue a refund based on the commission's progress. 

 

Material Availability and Variances

Astris Fursuits will do its best to find materials that will match your character as closely as possible. When materials are unavailable while production is in progress, the buyer will be notified, and the commission will be placed on hold while waiting for materials to come back in stock. The commission will be resumed once the stock has been purchased to finish the commission.

We will try our best to colour-match fur to the colours of the character. Not all colours will be an exact match for all characters. This will be discussed with the buyer before fur is purchased for the commission. The buyer understands and acknowledges that there are no returns due to colour variances after the commission is complete and that the variances in colour have been made known to the buyer.

 

Incorrect Product Delivery

If the incorrect product is delivered to the buyer, Astris Fursuits will resolve the issue and will return and send the correct product to the buyer. If the product is damaged by the buyer, the buyer will compensate for the repairs of that product that is not their own. This does not apply if the product is damaged by any shipping companies.

 

Warranties by Astris Fursuits

The product is protected from manufacturer damage for 30 days from the day the product is shipped. It is the responsibility of the buyer to check the product for defects upon arrival and should notify Astris Fursuits if any defects are apparent and we will happily fix these issues for you. Any damages made by the buyer within 30 days are not subject to warranty and will not be fixed by us. A product damaged by the shipping company is not covered by our warranty and this issue should be brought up with them after notifying us. 

Detailed pictures of the product are taken before shipping as proof of the product's current state before shipping.

 

Trademarks and Copywrite

Astris Fursuits WILL NOT accept a commission of a character that is owned by another company, trademarked, or protected by Copywrite. We will also not accept a commission of someone else’s character that rightfully belongs to them.

 

Shipping

Notification of completion will be sent to the buyer's provided email address or through other means of communication. A shipping quote will be made, and payment must be paid fully before the product is shipped. A payment plan can also be set up if necessary. Shipping within Australia and Internationally will be provided by Australia Post. If you’d prefer another company, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.

If two or more boxes are required for your commission, you will be notified. Astris Fursuits is not responsible for shipping times or shipping costs for any package sent to or from us.

 

Confidentiality

Astris Fursuits will not give out any private information to any third parties for anyone’s gain or for a company to gain from.

Our techniques are also kept confidential and Astris Fursuits reserves the right to disclose this information to buyers or other third parties.

 

Buyer Behaviour

Clients of Astris Fursuits are expected to behave in a civil and professional manner. Attempts to harass, bully or intimidate will be resulted in immediate cancellation of the commission with refund determined on progress of the commission. Non-Refundable deposit will NOT be refunded in this situation.

At a physical event attended by Astris Fursuits as a seller or attendee, stalking, harassment, non-consensual contact or bullying will result in a cancelled commission and the above will apply.

Repairs and Refurbishments

Astris Fursuits will accept repairs, refurbishments and adjustments from suits made by the company and by other makers upon their approval. Refurbishment of products made by Astris Fursuits is recommended after 5+ years of wear or if they are from the old style of 2023 or earlier. Repairs, adjustments or additions can be done upon request. 

When sending your suit to Astris Fursuits, the product MUST be cleaned. A suit that is not clean WILL NOT be worked on and will be shipped back to the client at their expense to be cleaned. Astris Fursuits will not clean fursuits for clients under any circumstances.
